RESILIENCE-BASED WELLNESS Programs

Working in collaboration with Scott Carney, an anthropologist, investigative journalist and New York Times best selling author of “What Doesn’t Kill us” as soon to be released “the Wedge”, Resilience-based Wellness™ services aim to challenge conventions and break boundaries to expand our understanding of human fitness, abilities, and well being.

“My goal is to help people gain mastery over the parts of their body and mind that they don’t have direct access to, and yet form the baseline for the way they experience the world. In other words, I want to give people the tools to train their autonomic nervous systems to be stronger all around. This will help people with anxiety and auto-immune illnesses and also appeal to athletes and top performers.

One of the core principles of PASSAGES is to modulate people through controlled stress and deep relaxation.  The stress activates their sympathetic (fight or flight) nervous system, while the relaxation digs into the parasympathetic (rest and digest).  These two states underpin every experience you have, but we are mostly never conscious of how to master them. By creating sequences of different methods and environments we can teach people to toggle between deep relaxation and heightened performance almost at will.”
